Louisville chef Jackie Joseph featured on ‘Best Baker in America’

Who will rise to the top to be crowned the Best Baker in America? It could be this uber-talented pastry chef from Louisville.

Jackie Joseph, who has worked as the executive pastry chef at the Louisville Omni Hotel and The Brown Hotel, is competing in the upcoming season of Food Network’s “Best Baker in America.

She’ll join a batch of nine other world-class bakers to battle it out on season four which premieres at 9 p.m. Monday.

This season’s baking challenges focus on creating unique versions of a variety of classic American desserts. Each of the 10 contestants is from a different state and Joseph, who grew up in Eastern Kentucky and now calls Louisville home, has a distinct advantage in the first challenge.
