Mirazur, the world’s best restaurant, will run a pop-up in Singapore

The world’s best restaurant is coming to Singapore. This May, three-Michelin-starred Mirazur will run a three-month pop-up over at members club Straits Clan. The French restaurant is helmed by chef Mauro Colegreco, and is currently ranked first in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list.

From May 14 to August 11, the acclaimed restaurant will take over the space of Kin and Clan Cafe to serve up a six-course lunch ($388) or a nine-course dinner ($488).

Reservations for this limited-time dining experience will start on April 19 for club members, before opening up to the public on April 20.

Chef who worked at world’s best restaurant opens his own Toronto pop-up

A Toronto chef who has worked at one of the world’s best restaurants has come out with his own dazzling Ecuadorian pop-up. 

Quito is the brainchild of Diego Reyes, named for the capital of Ecuador where he was born. He’s previously worked at Auberge du Pommier in Toronto, a French restaurant known for their intricate plating of luxurious dishes, and currently works at Italian restaurant Viaggio, where there’s a similar elevated style and eye for presentation.

‘Food from the heart’: Cuban restauranteur starts pop-up in Boise | Food

The Cuban bandleader Compay Segundo wrote the song “Chan Chan” in 1984 and it immediately became popular with Cuban musicians. When asked about how he wrote it, Segundo reportedly said, “I didn’t compose ‘Chan Chan,’ I dreamed it. I dream the music.”
