This Mini Eggs Chocolate Cake Is The Perfect Easter Dessert

The last few weeks, we’ve really noticed that spring has officially sprung. Daffodils and crocuses are popping up all over the place, baby lambs are being born (I’m told by people who live in the countryside. There’s no sign of that in north London…), and Easter products are lining supermarket shelves up and down the country.

Spring really is the best season.

The latest Easter product we want to talk about is this Mini Eggs cake. Cadbury’s Mini Eggs Chocolate Gateau is officially on sale in supermarkets as of now. @_well_this_is_new_ spotted it in Sainsbury’s, and when they posted a photo of it on Instagram, people were super egg-cited.

This cracking Easter dessert is described as being “chocolate flavoured sponge layered with a chocolate flavour filling, covered in milk chocolate and decorated with Cadbury’s Mini Eggs and milk chocolate curls.”

You can pick one up from supermarkets for £3.

And if you’re into this, no doubt you’ll be into the Creme Egg version too.

Also available in supermarkets now, Cadbury’s Crème Egg Chocolate Gateau is is made up of chocolate sponge layered with LOTS of fondant. The whole thing is then coated in thick Cadbury’s Dairy Milk chocolate, and finished with tasty little chocolate shavings on top.
