We’re all eating a little differently these days: Cooking at home more. Ordering takeout. Dining by fire pits. Whatever your comfort level, here’s what’s been going on in Boston’s restaurant world recently, plus a few ways to enjoy some of our region’s best restaurants and bars from both the comfort of your own home and out in the world.

Jinny’s arrived in Newton Centre this week with wood-fired pizzas. Owner Lydia Reichert said she wanted to create a “welcoming place where everybody can feel like they’re at home and they’re part of something.”
To celebrate its 100th recipe, Polar Seltzer just launched an extremely limited flavor. It’s called, simply, “100.”
We have some pretty stellar bagels in our backyard: According to Food & Wine, Bagelsaurus in Cambridge serves some of the best bagels in America.
This week, the Boston.com Cocktail Club prepped for St. Patrick’s Day by making an Irish whiskey sour and a whiskey mule.
Coppersmith is the latest restaurant to reemerge from hibernation, returning with its rooftop deck and ground floor patio.
Well hello, Tiger Sugar, and welcome to Boston. The Taiwanese chain opened an Allston branch (181 Harvard Ave.) in early March, serving its signature brown sugar-laced boba tea topped with fresh cream mousse. This is not your standard boba tea shop: Some drinks are topped with pudding, others are mixed with chocolate malt milk, and customers are advised to shake their drink no less than 15 times before consumption. Yes, the drinks are sweet, and yes, you will probably want to snap a photo for the ‘gram.
Eating and cooking alone, together:
Countries around the world have perfected their own version of stuffed food, from empanadas to dumplings to pierogis. Now you can stock up on a handful of them in one place: Mei Mei just launched a Filled with Love Bundle, celebrating stuffed foods and women-owned businesses. In it, you’ll find tamales from Tex Mex Eats, empanadas from Buenas, pierogis from Jaju Pierogi, dumplings from Yang’s Dumplings, and blintzes from Mamaleh’s Delicatessen. Plus, you’ll be able to choose from a variety of Mei Mei’s dumplings, like lemongrass pork and curried sweet potato. Orders for the $88 bundle can be purchased here.
Community fridges continue to pop up throughout the Greater Boston area as the demand for access to healthy food remains a pressing issue, and Newton is the latest city to get involved. An initiative of the Newton Food Pantry, the Freedge is a 24/7 outdoor refrigerator and pantry that will debut at 420 Watertown St. on Sunday, offering pantry staples, produce, and personal supplies. Like so many other community fridges, the Freedge subscribes to the “Take what you need. Leave what you can.” ethos, and is open to everyone — no questions asked. While individuals are welcome to donate food, the pantry has also partnered with local businesses like Johnny’s Luncheonette that help keep the Freedge stocked. Like clockwork, Dine Out Boston has returned for its spring iteration, kicking off on Sunday with two weeks of lunch and dinner deals at more than 100 restaurants around the Greater Boston area. This time, though, there are plenty of options for takeout as well. Peruse the full list, where you’ll find lunch deals for $15, $20, and $25, and dinner deals for $28, $33, and $38.
